FrustraEvo is an energy landscape inspired tool that calculates "Evolutionary Frustration", i.e. the structural conservation of energetic local frustration patterns for evolutionary related proteins. FrustraEvo can be used to calculate Evolutionary Frustration at the level of single residues or residue-residue interactions. As input files FrustraEvo receives a set of aligned sequences (MSA) and their corresponding structures. Local frustration patterns for all individual protein structures are calculated by frustratometeR.

Several examples on how to use and interpret FrustraEvo results are available in: Freiberger & Ruiz-Serra et al. Nature Comms (2023)

FrustraEvo has been published as part of the Nucleic Acids Research Web Server Issue 2024 Parra & Freiberger et al. NAR (2024)
